SBI has informed the account holders that the facility is being withdrawn from customers who have never used a debit card for e-commerce (online shopping). Through its official website, the bank said that customers who have availed the facility from their debit cards will be notified via SMS. Other features like debit card of these SBI account holders such as ATM withdrawal or payment service through card swipe will continue as before.

If the bank accidentally terminates this facility from your debit card, it can be restarted. All you have to do is send an SMS from your registered mobile phone. In mobile, type ‘swon ecom 0000’ (you have to write the last four digits of your debit card instead of the last four digits) and you have to send this message to 09223966666.
